Expert Car Care Inc.

Some vehicle owners get anxious when it comes to knowing where to go for auto repair and the cost of that repair. Our auto repair specialists can ease your anxiety by explaining what will happen when you visit our auto repair shop. We also want you to be aware of a few common issues that drivers worry about.

Here are a few interesting issues to consider relating to the care of your vehicle:

  1. You don’t need to pay extra for a premium or other high-octane gases unless your car requires it. Higher octane won’t really help your car perform any better than the lower level of octane recommended in your owner’s manual.
  2. Instead of paying extra for fuel additives that don’t really make much difference on gas mileage, spend a little more on higher-quality oil changes.
  3. When you the “check engine” light illuminates, a faulty gas cap could be the cause. Other causes are a faulty O2 sensor, dirty spark plugs, a bad catalytic convertor, or something serious happening in the engine. If the light continues to stay on after re-tightening the gas cap, head to your auto repair shop for a diagnostic test.
  4. That little black box under the hood, the car battery, is one of the most vital components of your vehicle, providing the power needed to operate all the various electrical accessories found in today’s cars. If the battery’s charge is too weak or if it has died completely, it may be time to replace it, especially if it is over four years old.

Our auto repair shop wants its customers to be driving as safely as possible with a well-maintained vehicle. Our ASE-certified technicians want to educate customers about the service their vehicle requires, when it should be done, and how much it will cost.

Need quality auto repair at an affordable price? Contact our ASE Certified technicians at Expert Car Care for information about our auto repair shop and to schedule an appointment. Our auto shop proudly serves residents in the community of West Allis, WI, and the surrounding area.
